Global IME Bank’s Commitment to Reducing Plastic Consumption: Aiming to Minimize Plastic Use

Global IME Bank Limited has expressed solidarity with the ‘Planet Versus Plastic’ campaign by adopting sustainable and eco-friendly practices to reduce plastic consumption within the bank. The bank has committed to minimizing plastic usage over the next three years. This initiative will start from the bank’s corporate office and gradually expand to all its branch offices across the country.
Since its establishment, the bank has been conducting various activities to reduce plastic consumption and raise awareness against plastic pollution. Global IME Bank is the first private-sector commercial bank with a branch network in all 77 districts of Nepal. The bank operates 354 branch offices, 379 ATMs, 277 branchless banking services, 68 extension and revenue collection counters, and 3 foreign representative offices, providing over 1,100 service centers.
The bank has been significantly contributing to the country’s economy by facilitating remittances from countries including the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Malaysia, South Korea, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, India, Jordan, and Hong Kong, among others. It has been delivering excellent services to over 4.6 million customers through various plans and facilities.
