Overview

Connect IPS is a unified payment system that lets customers connect their bank account(s) to facilitate payment processing, money transfers, and bill payments. It is a service offered by Nepal Clearing House Ltd. and enables direct payment transactions between citizens and the government (C2G), customers and businesses (C2B), and individuals (P2P) using their bank accounts.

How to Link Global IME Bank Account with ConnectIPS

Option 1: Self-Verification (Online)

This is the most convenient method as it allows you to complete the process without visiting a bank branch.

  1. Register for ConnectIPS: If you haven't already, create a user account on the ConnectIPS web portal (www.connectips.com) or the mobile app.

  2. Link Your Account: Log in to your ConnectIPS account and navigate to the "Bank Account" section. Select "Link Account" and fill in your Global IME Bank account details.

  3. Initiate Self-Verification: From the "Manage Accounts" section, you will see your linked bank account as "pending." Click on the account and choose the "Self-Verify Account" option.

  4. Complete Authentication: Follow the on-screen instructions. The system will send a One-Time Password (OTP) to the mobile number and email address you have registered with Global IME Bank. You will also need to check your bank account statement for two small "micro-deposits" made by ConnectIPS.

  5. Finalize Verification: Enter the OTP and the exact amounts of the two micro-deposits to complete the verification. Your account will then be automatically activated.

Important Note: For self-verification to work, your mobile number and email address registered with ConnectIPS must match the information you have on file with Global IME Bank.

 

Option 2: Manual Verification (At a Bank Branch)

 

If you prefer, you can also link your account by visiting a Global IME Bank branch.

  1. Register and Link: Follow steps 1 and 2 from the self-verification process (create a ConnectIPS user and link your Global IME Bank account online).

  2. Download Form: After linking the account, download the "verification form" from the ConnectIPS portal.

  3. Visit a Branch: Take the duly signed form and a valid identity card (such as your Citizenship ID) to your nearest Global IME Bank branch.

  4. Activate Account: A bank representative will complete the one-time verification and activate your linked account for use.

Required Document

Submit the signed account link document to the nearest branch or self-verify. Customers of Global IME Bank can use self-verification option to self-verify and enable the bank account linked to connectIPS, meaning that user does not have to visit a bank/branch counter for the account verification and activation process.
